Brief 4 : Instant Coffee Packaging

For the instant coffee packaging, I had decided to use a glass jar which would keep the coffee airtight and could be used and reused - hence the reason for the instant coffee refill packs. This reflects the rather Ugandan way of reusing packaging and products and adds more of a homely feel to the product. Also, this will provide the brand with a way of making more money, as the instant coffee jars would be more expensive than the paper packaging, but as it's not really possible to store instant coffee in just a paper packet without it going off, the customer would have to purchase the jar first, then production costs would be kept down by selling the refills in the paper packets rather than always selling the glass jars.

I managed to find a jar on amazon that suited the sort of thing I was looking for - an air tight jar with a metal snap down seal on the lid - and after purchasing that one started to make a label to go on the jar with all the details.

Label to go around body of jar:

Sticker to go on top of jar:
Testing it on the jar:

Creating the label in this way seems to work so after making a few tweaks for sizing and positioning of information I think they will be ready to print as stickers.
