So after deciding on the name 'Motif', Sarah and I discussed logo ideas and it seemed as if we were both imagining the same style of logo so I set out choosing a typeface and beginning to create a logo.

Editing the type to connect the word together showing the way in which the patterns (symbolised by the word motif) are connected into the t shirts and other products:
Using a different typeface and connecting all the letters up in the same way as before:

We decided that the strongest one was where the type was straight and where the connecting lines had been straightened off and have decided to go with this one as our logo for the brand:
