Brief 4 : Printing and Constructing the Final Packaging

So this morning I had all of the nets printed in digital print and have spent several hours carefully constructing them into the packaging:

The finished ground coffee nets:

The Instant coffee refill packaging:

Examples of the set together:

And the backs of the set:

I'm extremely happy with how these came out! The colours are almost 100% perfect across the different stocks and the feel of each stock perfectly suits the style of packaging I was going for. The type has come out nice and clean on all of the stocks and surprisingly they were easier to construct out of these two final stocks than they were on the mock ups. These ones are now ready for photographing sometime next week.

However, the labels for the instant coffee jar didn't work. I was too frustrated by them to take a photograph, but because of the curve of the jar the labels don't sit flat around it meaning they bulge and buckle and simply won't go smooth. I didn't really consider when making the paper mock up that because I was just trying it with paper it wouldn't actually all stick if it were made into a sticker...

So for the jars I'm going to have to go back to square one and find a new idea!
