Brief 4 : Initial Packaging Ideas

This is the plan I have made for creating the packaging nets.

As I have outlined before, I will need to create different nets for the different types of coffee - one for the ground coffee and one for the instant refill packs.

Ground coffee packaging:

- the sides would bend/fold down the middle once the packaging has been constructed so there is no need for scoring etc, this makes it more natural and the shape then depends more on the contents inside the packet.

- the stock needed for this packaging is quite a heavy cardstock which would protect the contents
- it may also need a silver foil inner lining although that is something I'll have to come back to later.

Instant coffee refill packaging:

- this simple net is in the style of a sugar or flour bag where the shape will mostly come from the contents of the packet.

- the stock for this packaging needs to be quite soft to allow the contents to create the shape but while also being strong enough to hold it all in.
