Brief 4 : Beginning the Website

The website for Sipi Coffee would be the first point of contact between potential customers and the brand so it has to show a proper insight into what Sipi Coffee is all about. I wanted to create something which is engaging and tells the story of the location, the production process and the people who produce the coffee.

Tom showed me a website for an Austrian furniture designer which is one continuously scrolling page:

This website has inspired me to make mine as one long scrolling webpage as I think this is a better way of taking the customer through the story of Sipi Coffee than getting them to click onto different pages.

So, for my website, it will start on a landing image, and then the customer will scroll down through an introduction to the area, then through the process of the coffee production (from picking the beans to roasting), then a section about Sipi Coffee as a brand and the tastes of the coffee, then finally landing on the shop page. When a customer clicks on 'BUY' on the shop page it will take them through to other pages to complete their purchase.

I think this break down of the story and the fact that it will all be image based will engage the customer and also visually do justice to the area of Sipi.
